Fall Festivities

This weekend was a busy one! After I posted on Saturday, we headed out to Rock Creek Farm to do some pumpkin picking.

I had never been there before but I found some good reviews online so we decided to check it out. I’m really glad we did because this place was huge! Even though it was pretty busy, they have their system down so we never had to wait too long for anything. You drive through the gates and follow the dirt road until you find a good spot to park. Then you hop out and wander through the fields until you find the perfect pumpkin. We actually ended up picking a pumpkin and then pulling over again when we spotted some better ones.

There is also a corn maze and then an area for kids. They had face painting, fall treats, bounce houses shaped like pumpkins, a bunch of animals, and some photo opp areas.

Sunday morning I headed out on a 4 mile run with Daisy. It’s crazy how much easier it is to run without the stroller. I’m feeling pretty good about next week’s race. I’m not planning on a PR or anything but I think it will be enjoyable.
After running some errands, Shane and Kelly got ready to watch some football.

I got to work outside on decorating for Halloween. Since this is a new house, it took me a little while to figure out where all of our decorations should go.

Once I was all done with those, I realized that we needed to finish organizing the garage so that we can actually park in there. My real motivation for parking inside was so people could fully see and appreciate our decorations :) . I managed to clear out enough room for my car and after a trip to the Dumpster, Shane’s car should be able to fit too!

Getting a bunch of work done around the house + big wins for the Patriots and the Red Sox + bath time for Kelly = a happy household!

Question:

How was your weekend?
What sports teams do you root for?
