I love the weekends as much we the next person but I’m not usually the one who is counting the weekdays until we get to Friday. This week however was especially busy at work so I am pretty glad to have the fairly empty weekend ahead. Last night was uneventful and after a late afternoon workout, I was in bed by 9 pm.
This morning I got up and made egg sandwiches for Shane and myself. He has a wrestling tournament this weekend but for once didn’t have to be there before 6 am.
My plans for the day are to check out the local rec center for a morning workout and then some tennis in the afternoon. Pretty low key but since my bachelorette weekend and shower are next weekend, I should probably rest up now! I’m really excited to see some friends that I haven’t seen for a while and get in the wedding spirit since we are only 7 weeks out now!
I have a feeling that I know exactly what my lunch is going to look like since I’ve already had a few repeats of it this week.
Valentine’s Day around here was a nice dinner at home (made by Shane). There was a little hiccup with my gift to him so I stopped at a local movie theater to get him some authentic popcorn (word to the wise: that request will get you weird looks from everyone at the theater). He got me a prenatal workout video as well as some pregnancy/running books.
A lot of these recipes actually sound pretty good and are accompanied by ways to make them for the non-preggos and how to order them at a bar. For someone who has to repeat her coffee order in her head over and over again before getting to the register to make sure I say it right, that was a helpful hint.
The rest of the night was spent discussing potential baby names and for the most part, we’re on the same page. Is it just me or do all middle names sound weird?
My mom sent me this picture of my brother, sister and me all on our futon (yep a futon) when we were little. This picture cracks me up because it captures all three of us in our element. I’m reading, Kyle is sleeping and Megan is pissed because not enough people are paying attention to her
One last thing before I head out to get this weekend started- yesterday was the 17 week mark for Baby Keefe! I’ve been feeling great lately (minus some major nausea yesterday and a few headaches) and so far the second trimester seems to be cruising by. We’re getting closer to the halfway point and our ultrasound appointment where we’ll hopefully find out the gender. Can’t wait!
Question:
Do you like your middle name? Does it have any special meaning?
How was your Valentine’s Day?

Ohh I’m excited to hear about this bachelorette weekend! My middle name is “Walsh” (my grandma’s maiden name). My initials were on my book bag (heck yes, L.L. Bean) and classmates constantly asked what my middle name was!
I always pretended that my middle name was super embarrassing but I was just trying to be different since at least ten other girls in my grade had the same middle name as me (Marie). I like that your middle name was your grandma’s maiden name!
