The past few mornings I have been having the same breakfast on repeat. I realized that a great way to save time would be to bring in a few packets of oatmeal because all I need to do once I get to my desk in the morning is heat up some water. Oatmeal is usually a safe bet for me for breakfast because it takes me a little bit of time to eat and it keeps me full longer. I usually opt out of oatmeal when I am in a rush because I don’t like scarfing it down but since I can enjoy it at my desk while getting the day started, it has become a go to lately.
I had a box of Active Lifestyle Almond & Cranberry at the house and since Shane isn’t a fan of “things” in his oatmeal, I just brought a few packets to work to have on hand for breakfast or a snack to keep me out the treats in our kitchen.
Brianne and I went on a walk to the post office today during lunch so that I could double check that I had sufficient postage for the wedding invitations- the last thing I wanted was for a bunch of envelopes to show up back at my house with huge rejection stamps on them. We stopped by Quizno’s so that I could grab a toasted sandwich and to use their bathroom (turns out it was unlocked the whole time so we didn’t really need to be customers, oh well).
I didn’t manage to snap a pic of the sandwich but I did remember to pull out my phone for my afternoon snack of key lime Greek yogurt and granola. I have been loving the Yoplait Greek yogurt line because they are all 100 calories and there is a wide range of flavors. I am definitely getting use out of the bowls in our kitchen.
I know I must be getting old when one of my Christmas presents managed to stay in its packaging until January 8th! One of the gifts my mom got me was the fitbit one that I had pinned to my Wish List board a while back. I was so excited when I got it but because my workouts have been slacking big time thanks to the freezing weather and wicked cold that I had, it’s just been sitting on my desk.
when you become less active, that flower gets smaller and smaller.
Obviously today is just Day 1 but I am interested to see how much I like using it. You can keep it in your pocket, clip it to your pants, or clip it to your bra and it’s so tiny that I kept checking throughout the day that it hadn’t fallen off. The user interface is very clean and looks high tech which is cool and it comes with a red/maroon cover that has a clip on the back.
I’ll keep you guys posted on this cute little gadget!
Question:
What (if any) workout gadgets do you use and recommend? I am a huge fan of the Runkeeper app and I use it all the time when running, walking, or biking.
What is your favorite brand of Greek yogurt?

I eat oatmeal for breakfast almost every single day! I also eat it at work to save time, but I pack it the night before. Mine usually contains bananas, blueberries, almonds and peanut butter (duh). It keeps me full for most of the morning and then I usually grab a little pre-lunch snack.
I go back-and-fourth between the runkeeper app and nike plus. Both do the trick for me!
I got myself a fitbit for Christmas because I really wanted one. I link it to myfitnespal, and I really like it so far, although I haven’t found much time to work out. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine!!
