Things have been a little crazy around here lately and luckily I’ve pretty much gotten over my cold so I have more energy to work with everything that is going on. The sun decided to make a special appearance today and I’ve decided that if we can just cruise like this until spring, I will be one happy camper.
Last night Shane and I went to dinner with my dad and sister at La Sandia. I love the ambience there but the lighting is pretty dark so I opted out of the usual picture taking. The food is good but my favorite item on the menu is their Prickly Pear-Blueberry Margarita hands down. The photo is an old one but the bright pink color is just one of my favorite parts of this drink.

This morning Shane and I were up bright and early thanks to an early bedtime and we decided that we were in the mood for pancakes. One of our favorite breakfast spots nearby is Jus Grill and we realized that we hadn’t been there in months. When we walked in and saw that they had expanded to the space next door, we knew that it had been longer than we thought.
After breakfast, we took Daisy to the dog park for some exercise. It’s been pretty frigid here lately and she seems to have developed puppy cabin fever. The dog park was just what she needed because she was quite a social butterfly. The pleasant arrival of the sun meant that the dog park was busier than usual so we ended up staying for almost an hour and Daisy has been passed out since we got home.
Lunch today was a bit of a hodge podge with the best part being some peach Greek yogurt with granola and chopped up apple pieces. The apple was crisp and juicy and really helped to bulk up the yogurt bowl so that it took a little extra time to eat and was more filling.
Now, about those changes I mentioned earlier…. Some things are in the works that I will share more details on later but for now the big news is that our wedding date has changed. We are now getting married on April 6! Some of you may have noticed that the wedding countdown on the right sidebar jumped down quite a bit and we are officially only 3 months out- how crazy is that??
Yesterday I spent over 3 hours stuffing envelopes and making sure that everyone would receive our Change the Date, formal invitation, and RSVP cards so that we can get this wedding on track.
I mentioned before that a friend of ours helped design and create these unique invitations and he was so awesome when we let him know that we needed to do something a little different and expedited. For anyone looking for a unique and custom design, check out C. Malloy Designs, he is great to work with and is equally invested as you are in getting everything perfect!
Sorry for the blurriness but I just wanted to keep some details back until after the event and then I will post pictures of the final product.
After a few hours, a stiff back, and a dry tongue, all of our invitations are stuffed, stamped, licked, sealed and ready to be sent out tomorrow! I’m really excited for everyone to get the invitations and to hear their reactions about the new date and the design.

Woah, that must be stressful changing the date but it sounds like you have it all under control!
I totally agree. I was in such a blahhh mood today because it looked so dreary outside!
About the wedding date changing — that happened to one of my good friend’s weddings. The date jumped up considerably, but everything panned out well and the entire day was beautiful!! I’m sure it’s a little extra stress, but you will absolutely make it work! =]
