I woke up this morning feeling a little bit off but just attributed it to having slept with the heat on too high all night. I figured that drinking a bunch of water and moving around would make me feel better so I proceeded with breakfast as usual. I went with some vanilla Greek yogurt, a little Kashi cereal, and a sliced banana.
Unfortunately I ended up feeling pretty under the weather for the rest of the day so I took a long nap, hoping that that would sort me out. Once I woke up, I took Daisy for a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood and the crisp air definitely did me some good. I was pretty cold when we got back so I hopped into the nice hot shower.
I had some chicken defrosted so I decided to make chicken tikka masala. This meal is a staple at our house because it is so easy to make. All I do is cut up the defrosted chicken, cook it in a skillet with olive oil spray, add the tikka masala simmer sauce, and done!
This is my favorite sauce and I get it from Target.
Since I’m still not feeling 100%, I made myself a small bowl with brown rice. I usually serve this chicken dish with Basmati rice or naan bread but we didn’t have any on hand and I was not up to hitting up the grocery store.
